After school we had to put it outside in the Butterfly garden with all the lovely flowers. We have really enjoyed watching the metamorphosis from caterpillar to chrysalis and then to butterfly.

Butterfly at last!
Our chrysalis has been changing colour and we noticed on Friday that it was a lot darker. Yesterday it seemed clear, with the Monarch wing pattern clearly visible through it. At lunch time, it hatched into a beautiful butterfly, and after a while had pumped up its wings enough to open them.
After school we had to put it outside in the Butterfly garden with all the lovely flowers. We have really enjoyed watching the metamorphosis from caterpillar to chrysalis and then to butterfly.
